For the past several months our development team has been busy designing something special in order to improve our clients’ experience and get ready for the busy holiday season.
So, today we can make an announcement – the new Omnisend (previously Soundest) Content Editor is ready to use!
A Content Editor is a key tool in the entire email marketing toolkit. Its smooth workflow and ease of use are crucial in daily tasks. Those of you who used to find Omnisend Editor too slow, or the templates too conservative or somewhat limited, will be pleasantly surprised by our new edition of Content Editor. On the other hand, our greatest fans will find all of the features they are used to and more.
Most changes were made according to the feedback of our customers. We took into account your thoughts and implemented the most desirable features. However, it remains simple and intuitive. Let’s take a look at the new features of Content Edit.
1. New campaign design options
Newsletter trends are constantly changing. The latest edition of Editor has new content blocks and background pattern possibilities that enable new, trending design ensembles. From now on, you will be able to do the following:
- To customize the header of your newsletter. New combinations, like logo+links, logo+social buttons, etc. are available.
- To change background colors and patterns of separate content blocks;
- To design new, up to date newsletter layouts. This is because the product layout options have been expanded and incredibly charming image puzzles have been added.
The listing as well as appearance of social media buttons has been adjusted to the customer needs. In addition, the footer content block will also pleasantly surprise you.
Currently, we are actively working on the Image Editor, which will enable you to add text, crop, resize, and otherwise edit images straight away in your newsletter. It will be launched in the very near future.
2. Much faster and more stable
The drag-and-drop feature of Content Editor is not going to alter. However, the overall newsletter building workflow has been slightly changed. Now you can easily customize each email content block separately from the rest of the newsletter content. In addition, we have foreseen some shortcuts in the theme management. It should facilitate your newsletter building process.
We have also reviewed the logic of email rendering which results in faster email previews and a smoother overall performance of Content Editor.
3. Updated Product Picker
Up till now your favorite Omnisend feature – Product Picker – has had quite strict rules. A new version of it is totally flexible. Now you are free to choose what elements should be included in your product listing. A product description is not obligatory anymore.
4. A series of new templates
Along with the new Content Editor, Omnisend is launching a series of totally new templates. The first of them – London – is alive already, and more are on their way. These new email templates are named after the cities with the greatest number of Omnisend clients.
The new templates are a little bit wider (640 px) and more up to date. They differ by their exclusive style and respond to different client needs. We hope you will like them!
The new templates are available only on the new Content Editor. The old Editor and templates will be available until the 3rd of May, 2017. So you will definitely have time to train the new Editor and build beautiful newsletters with the new templates.
You can choose London template to try out in the second step of Campaign Wizard.
5. New personalization options and interactiveness
In the new version of Editor, you are able to easily use your customer data to personalize your messages. Including the customer’s name into the body text or subject line has never been easier.
One more novelty that the Scratch Card has been added to all templates, and you are able to use it in any newsletter you want. Also try Gift Box – a brand new feature to boost your click rate.
Three weeks remain until Black Friday. There is still a little bit of time to play with and test the new Content Editor and “London” template.
Our ambitious team will carry on working on the new Omnisend features. We look forward to your feedback as we wait for the new releases!
