How much does migration cost?

Standard migration where we import your subscribers, lists, and segments is completely free with your Pro plan. If you need something a bit more complex than that, we’ll work with you to figure out exactly what you’ll need and how much it will cost. We’re able to rebuild your automations, and recreate your signup forms and email templates, so migration from your old email provider to Omnisend is as smooth as possible.

How long does it take to migrate all my subscribers, workflows, and segments?

The short answer is that it depends on how complex your operations are. We want the process to be as quick and smooth so that you have the best experience possible with the least amount of downtime. Certain things, like importing your subscribers and segments are quick to import. Other things like recreating your email templates and automation workflows can be a bit more complex.

Will you import all my subscribers?

As long as they’re active and have opted-in, yes. However, contacts that have bounced, unsubscribed, or didn’t explicitly opt-in can’t be imported. Check out our Anti-Spam Policy for more information on what we mean by explicitly opted-in contacts. Make the process easier by cleaning up your list before migrating. Also, message and engage your subscribers before migrating so you pull as many active subscribers as possible.

What if you don’t have a feature that my old email provider had?

We keep it transparent. If we know of a difference in features or functionality between your old email provider and Omnisend, we’ll let you know so you’re aware from the start. If you have questions about a specific feature, pop us an email support@omnisend.com and we’ll let you know all about it.

Is there anything you can’t or won’t migrate?

We don’t migrate any kind of custom code that you have attached to forms, emails, or anything you’ve added to normal templates. We’ll recreate your forms, emails, workflows, and templates, but any custom code needs to be implemented by your developer. For everything else? We’ve got you covered.

Can I migrate my subscribers and settings myself?

Absolutely. There are plenty of Omnisend customers who have migrated their subscribers and workflows with no problem. In fact, if you’re coming from MailChimp, we even have a handy tutorial to help you import your contacts directly from MailChimp to Omnisend. We’re also available for any questions along the way.
