Social Capture is an Omnisend feature that turns Instagram comments and DMs into email subscribers. When someone comments or DMs a word you’ve chosen, it messages them, asks for their email, and adds them to your Omnisend audience.

You need a paid Omnisend plan and an Instagram business account, either business or creator. Connect your Instagram account from the Social Capture page in Omnisend, and you’re ready to set up your first trigger.

Yes. Social Capture asks for their email directly in the DM, and the message includes a disclaimer explaining they’re joining your list. Only people who reply with their email are added as subscribers.

Yes, during Social Capture setup you can add a tag of your choice, like “Instagram.” This makes it easy to spot those who came from Instagram in their contact profile. If you choose not to add a tag, you can still find them through the Subscribed to marketing or Opted-in events.
