What’s new: Omnisend’s August 2024 updates

Reading Time: 3 minutes

August has been a wild ride at Omnisend – literally. We’ve ventured into uncharted territories to bring you some of the coolest new features.

From fresh updates in our email builder to innovative automations and integrations, we’ve got everything you need to keep your campaigns running smoothly as you explore new possibilities.

Get ready to read on what’s new this August, or, if you’re short on time, check out our quick and adventurous video recap below:

Fresh features in the Email Builder

We’ve added new settings to the Product Recommender in the Email Builder!

Now, you can easily exclude specific categories from recommendations, giving you even more control over how your products are presented in emails.

Plus, we’ve expanded the Product Recommender listings to feature up to 12 products, giving you more flexibility in showcasing your offerings.

Simplified deliverability settings

Great news – we’ve unified the settings for email addresses and sender domains, simplifying how you manage your email configurations.

Additionally, you can now send emails to your owned domains, even if the recipient’s inbox is a role-based email address. This applies to test emails, campaigns, and automation emails, provided the domain is verified in your Store settings → Email → Sender domains.

Tailored automation workflows

We’ve introduced new Welcome presets to improve your automation workflows. The ‘Subscribed to marketing’ trigger now replaces the old ‘Sign up’ trigger, allowing for more opportunities to target different customer groups in a single flow.

If you’ve already set up a welcome automation, there’s no need to make any adjustments – it will still work just fine. We’ll update your automation with the new trigger logic later unless you want to test our latest addition yourself.

Easier audience management

We’ve made re-importing contacts as subscribed as seamless as possible with the ‘import as subscribed’ checkbox.

For Shopify users, our new Shopify Combined Discounts feature allows you to combine Omnisend-generated discounts in email and SMS automations and email campaigns with Shopify order, product, or shipping discounts. This integration provides a seamless way to offer stacked discounts to customers, enhancing user experience and conversion rates.

Also, if you didn’t know – we’re constantly updating our user interface to improve your experience. Some recent changes include enhancements to the progress bar in campaigns, more action buttons, and error handling in signup forms. We have also made navigating dropdown menus and managing your forms easier.

So stay tuned for more updates as we continue to refine and enhance our platform!

New integrations to explore

We’re introducing the FuseWP app, which seamlessly connects WordPress with Omnisend. Key features include automatic updates, seamless unsubscribes, tag assignment, and custom field sync.
