See Features

We ship new features and improvements every week. Some are big, some are the kind of small change you only notice the second time you don’t have to do the annoying thing. But here’s what landed in July.

More of Omnisend, straight from your AI workspace

MCP connects Omnisend to the AI tools you already work in, so there’s no new chatbot to learn. This month it got a lot more to work with.

  • Campaigns: You can now create and manage SMS campaigns, email A/B tests, and Booster campaigns through MCP — on top of the regular email campaigns you could already build there.
  • Automations: This is the bigger one. Full automation management is now available: create, edit, enable, and disable automations, edit UTM parameters, and work with every automation block type you’d find in the Omnisend UI, webhooks included.

Type @ to personalize

Adding a first name or an order number meant a trip through the menus. Now you type @ inside any text block and the personalization menu opens right where you’re writing. There’s a search bar for tracking down a specific variable, and the picker itself has been redesigned so it looks and behaves the same everywhere you meet it.

Background color for text

You can now add a background color to any selected text in the Email Builder. Useful for a promo code, a deadline, or the one line you’d rather nobody skimmed past — no images, no custom HTML.

A max height for dynamic product images

Product photos are rarely the same size, and that shows up fast in an abandoned cart email. You can now set a maximum image height for dynamic product images in product layouts — Abandoned Cart, Product Recommender, and the other dynamic ones — so your rows stay even no matter what the catalog sends through.

Back in Stock forms can now collect subscribers

Someone asking to hear when a product’s back is already telling you they’re interested. Add a Legal Consent block to a Back in Stock form, and visitors who give consent are added as subscribed contacts, not just back-in-stock leads. Same form, two jobs.

Redirect after submission, now on every form type

Signing up doesn’t have to be the end of the visit. You can now send people to a custom URL after they submit any form — pop-ups, flyouts, embedded forms, and landing pages. Set the URL, choose whether it opens in the same tab or a new one, add a delay, and write your own countdown message.

From there, point them at a discount page, a product collection, an onboarding quiz, or whatever the next step in the journey actually is.

Button hover styles in the Form Builder

You can now set how a button looks when someone hovers over it. A bit more polish, no custom code.

The AI form flow got a redesign

Building a form with AI is smoother now. Moving between AI and the manual builder takes fewer steps, you can generate a form from a single prompt, or start from a template with AI helping. You can also see all of a template’s content while you’re picking one, instead of after you’ve committed.

Hostinger and Shopify are now supported domain providers

If your domain lives with Hostinger or Shopify, you can now select them directly in the domain connection flow and follow DNS instructions written for that provider. Works for both your sender domain and your link domain.

Canva: sync from any folder

You’re no longer tied to a folder called “Omnisend.” Set your preferred folder name when you connect, and connect multiple Canva accounts with a different folder synced for each.

  • ShipBob — Sync ShipBob shipment and delivery events to trigger post-purchase updates, delivery confirmations, and exception alerts.

Email engagement

  • Tickvio — Add real-time countdown timers to campaigns and automation emails through an HTML block. Good for flash sales, promotions, and event deadlines.

Predictive marketing

  • Lapio — Sync Shopify customer segments ranked by future revenue likelihood, updated daily, so you know where the spend is worth it.

Gift cards

  • Wrapped — Trigger email or SMS workflows from Wrapped gift card purchases, updates, reminders, and voided cards.

Communications

  • Aircall — Sync Aircall contact data and trigger workflows when SMS messages are sent or received.

UI and UX improvements

The smaller changes that don’t sound like much on their own, but add up:

  • A shared image library for forms and campaigns. Images in your Omnisend image library can now be reused when you’re building or editing forms, so you’re not uploading the same photo twice.
  • Bulk disable forms. Select as many forms as you want and switch them off in one go.
  • Low SMS credit warnings. You’ll see a warning in the side navigation and inside automation workflows when your SMS credits drop to $5 or less, or run out entirely. Better to find out before a send than during one.
  • Sync with system is the default theme now. Omnisend follows your operating system or browser theme automatically, with nothing to set up.

And there’s more in the app than fits in a post — you’ll run into a few improvements we didn’t write up here. See you next month.
