Drive sales on autopilot with ecommerce-focused features
See FeaturesWhat’s new: Omnisend’s March 2025 updates
Finally, it’s spring. Well… sort of. March is that awkward in-between time when winter is technically over, but spring isn’t exactly springing yet either. Anyway, while the seasons sort themselves out, we’ve been keeping busy.
From AI-powered subject line testing to better automation control and deeper reporting insights, we’ve packed this month’s release with improvements that help you work faster, optimize better, and stay in control.
Keep reading to see what’s new this March – or, if you’re short on time, check out our quick video recap below.
Smarter subject lines, better results
We all know a great subject line can make or break an email. Now, instead of guessing which one works best, you can A/B test AI-generated subject lines and let the data decide.
Pick your favorites, send them out, and Omnisend will automatically choose the best performer based on opens and clicks. More engagement, less trial and error.

And to make sure your emails always look polished, we’ve also added default text personalization. If a subscriber’s name (or any other personalized detail) is missing, you can now set a fallback – so no more awkward blank spaces remain in your emails.

More control over automation workflows
If you’ve ever wanted more say over who gets your automated messages, this update is for you.
Now, Workflow Channel Settings let you choose exactly which contacts receive automated messages, based on their subscription status. With these settings, you now have full control over how messages are sent in automations, ensuring that you:
- Respect audience preferences by ensuring customers receive messages only through their preferred channels
- Stay compliant with regulations like GDPR
- Protect your sender’s reputation by reducing unwanted messages
- Ensure critical messages (like order updates) always get delivered

Another improvement lets you trigger workflows for all contacts in a segment, not just new ones. Now, when setting up a segment-based automation, you can apply it to existing contacts as well, ensuring they receive the full automation series from the start.

Make your signup forms work (and look) better
Your forms are often the first impression new customers get of your brand, so they should look just as polished as the rest of your site. This month, we’ve made the Form Builder even more intuitive, adding new customization features like:
- More alignment options
- Improved spacing and standardized corner rounding
- New text styling options (bold, italic, underline)
- Adjustable padding and border styles

Additionally, all default contact profile properties are now available for selection when creating forms, giving you more control over the customer data you collect.

Multi-step forms are also getting an upgrade with the Switch Steps control, allowing you to rearrange steps with a single click.

And if you’re using Wheel of Fortune, you’ll now find a new width setting, making it easier to adjust the size and fit of the spinning wheel.

Fixing missing data (so you don’t have to)
Ever tried to segment customers by country, only to realize some are missing location data? It happens.
Now, Omnisend automatically detects a contact’s last known location based on their IP address, so you can still target them accurately – even if they didn’t fill out their details.

It’s a small fix, but it makes your segmentation way more accurate.
Track link clicks across SMS & push notifications
Email marketers have had this for a while, but now you can track link clicks across SMS and push notifications too.
With Link Activity Reporting, you can:
- See which links are actually driving engagement
- Compare click-through rates across different channels
- Improve your messaging to increase conversions
If you’ve ever wondered how many people are actually clicking the links in your SMS or push campaigns, now you have the answer.

Also, if you didn’t know – we’re constantly updating our user interface to improve your experience. Some recent changes include enhancements to the progress bar in campaigns, more action buttons, and error handling in signup forms. We have also made navigating dropdown menus and managing your forms easier.
So stay tuned for more updates as we continue to refine and enhance our platform!
WooCommerce just got a serious upgrade
Running a WooCommerce store? We’ve added Filter Hooks that give you even more control over how your store data syncs with Omnisend.
Now, you can:
- Modify customer contact data before sending it to Omnisend
- Customize how cart data is handled during checkout and cart recovery
- Gain more control over how store data syncs with Omnisend
This gives you more flexibility and control over your store’s integration.
Small but mighty UX updates
We’ve also made some behind-the-scenes improvements to keep things running smoothly:
- See SMS costs upfront. You’ll now see recipient counts before sending an SMS campaign, so you can budget more accurately.
- One-click filter reset. Overloaded your Forms list with filters? Now you can clear them all in one click.
- No more confusing sender domain errors. If there’s an issue, we’ll now tell you exactly what’s wrong and how to fix it.
- Google Postmaster Tool is back! Deliverability metrics are live again, so you can track how well your emails are landing.
- Expanded API error messages. More detailed troubleshooting for carts, orders, and product data, so fixing issues is faster.
- Security settings for all roles. Password and 2FA settings are now available to all user roles, making account security easier to manage.
- New “All-time” filter for automations. You can now analyze automation performance over any time period, not just the default ranges.
A bunch of little things that add up to a faster, more seamless experience.
