Drive sales on autopilot with ecommerce-focused features
See FeaturesAs summer continues to blast, we’re here to remind to not get too comfortable in your hammock – it’s time to think about the busy months ahead.
With Black Friday and the holiday rush just around the corner, it’s the perfect moment to perfect your marketing game. Plus, we’ve been busy making some awesome updates to help you get a head start.
Here’s what’s new this June:
New Product Reviews features
Product Reviews are finally here to help you highlight what your customers love about your products, giving potential buyers the confidence to make a purchase.
This month, we’ve introduced even more improvements to our Product Reviews feature, which are intended to enrich user engagement and trustworthiness.
Though keep in mind that this feature is currently available for Shopify users only!
Public reviews for all customers
Great news – we’ve expanded our Product Reviews feature to allow any customer who makes a purchase to leave a review. Previously, only users identified through email could share their thoughts. Now, we’re opening the floor to all of your store customers, allowing anyone who makes a purchase to share their thoughts and experiences.

To leave a review, customers can simply go to your store, click ‘Leave a review,’ and provide an email address. By default, public reviews will not be immediately published in the store to maintain quality and relevance. However, you can easily opt to publish your reviews by adjusting your preferences in the ‘Publishing options’ modal found under the reviews tab.

Verified reviews for authentic feedback
Building trust with your customers is a must, and one of the best ways to do that is by showcasing genuine feedback. That’s why we’ve added a new way to boost the credibility of reviews in your store: the ‘Verified’ flag for product reviews.
Now, any review left by a verified buyer will automatically display this mark, making it clear that the feedback comes from someone who actually purchased the product. Plus, you can manually mark reviews as verified through the Omnisend app, giving you even more control over which reviews stand out. This feature is all about building trust and helping you highlight authentic, valuable feedback from your customers.

More control and flexibility within the email builder
We’re thrilled to introduce new features designed to elevate your experience with our Product Recommender tool. These updates are all about giving you more control and flexibility in how you connect with your customers through product recommendations.
Select specific product categories
You can now select specific product categories when setting up product recommendations. This means you can tailor recommendations more closely to your customers’ interests, making them more relevant and effective.

Exclude specific products
Alongside selecting categories, you also can exclude specific items from your recommendations. Whether it’s out-of-stock items or products you want to avoid promoting at the moment, this feature makes sure that your recommendations are precisely what you want your customers to see.
Most importantly, this ability to exclude is available to you even if no specific category is selected, giving you flexibility in how you curate your product recommendations.

Recently viewed and most viewed products recommendations
We are introducing new recommendation types that allow you to display products your contacts have recently viewed in automations and the most viewed products in your store in both campaigns and automations. Our Product Recommender tool aims to assist you in re-engaging with your customers by suggesting products from your store. For more information on this tool and its usage, please refer to the guide provided below.

Please note ‘products contact recently viewed’ recommendation type is available exclusively in Automated emails. It offers a targeted way to boost engagement and potentially increase sales.
Improved contact management
Audience updates introduce status filters in Imports and Exports lists and detailed explanations of contact subscriptions within the Contact list. These improvements aim to improve user experience by providing clearer, more precise control over contact management processes.

Enhanced protection with 2FA
We’ve made your account security a top priority by adding the option to turn on two-factor authentication (2FA).This feature adds an extra layer of protection by requiring both your password and a code from an authenticator app when logging into your Omnisend account. During the 2FA setup, you’ll also have the option to copy or download recovery keys, ensuring you always have access to your account even if your primary authentication method becomes unavailable.
