Brevo pricing is based on monthly email volume with per-tier contact caps, which can work out for marketers who want their tool to stay cheap with list growth. A large list emailed infrequently can cost less than it would with contact-based tools.

Starter and Standard plans let you store up to 500,000 contacts once you reach 20,000 sends a month. Staying under $30/month is possible on three plans: Free, Starter at up to 15,000 sends, or Standard at 5,000 sends.

Brevo was called Sendinblue until its 2023 rebrand, and its pricing has used the same send-based model since. Below, we cover every Brevo plan, its limits, and how it compares to Omnisend and Klaviyo.

How Brevo prices email marketing

Brevo prices its email marketing based on monthly email volume, starting at 5,000 emails. Transactional and marketing messages count towards your sends. Contacts are stored up to each plan’s cap, from 500 to unlimited on the Enterprise plan.

Email marketing pricing page shows a Standard plan selected with features listed and a monthly cost of $18.00 highlighted.
Brevo assigns contact limits based on your monthly send volume. Image via Brevo.

Assigning 20,000 sends in either the Starter or Standard plans increases your contact storage to 500,000, and in Professional, you can store 2,000,000 contacts. Below that, there are strict contact limits of 500, 1,500, or 2,500.

Storage for lots of contacts is how Brevo pricing offers good value. Send-based pricing suits large lists you email to infrequently. Storing 50,000 contacts will cost you less with Brevo than with tools that use contact-based pricing.

Brevo plans and prices 2026

As of August 2026, Brevo has four paid plans (Starter, Standard, Professional, and Enterprise) and one free plan. Brevo’s Starter plan has the cheapest entry point, costing $9/month, or you can save 10% with an annual plan, bringing that cost to $8.08/month.

Brevo’s paid plans start from $9/month to $499/month. Image via Brevo.

The table below compares Brevo plans as of August 2026. It shows starting prices, send limits, maximum send limits, contact storage, and the features each plan includes:

Here’s how Brevo costs compare across Starter and Standard plans from 5,000 to 100,000 email sends (as of August 2026). We’ve also included the prices for Standard up to 500,000 sends, which is that plan’s limit:

A list needing more than 500,000 sends/month on Standard requires Professional. We’ve prepared a separate table for Professional plan pricing from 150,000 to 5,000,000 emails/month as of August 2026:

Professional plans let you select up to 10,000,000 emails with a maximum cost of $4,543/month, after which the custom-priced Enterprise plan is required.

Prepaid email credits are an option to avoid higher plan costs. You can purchase email credits from 5,000 to 1,000,000 credits on top of your plan. They’re non-refundable, but they also never expire and can keep your monthly costs down.

The table below details Brevo’s prepaid email credit pricing from 5,000 to 100,000 emails; these are in addition to your paid plan. It’s accurate as of August 2026:

20,000$95
50,000$165

What the sales packages are and whether you need one

Brevo’s sales packages track your pipelines and deals as part of its customer relationship management (CRM). They’re useful for business-to-business (B2B) and selling services, but could be redundant if you already have a CRM or only sell products.

Comparison table of three sales packages showing pricing, features, and differences between free and paid plans.

There are three sales packages: Sales Free, Sales Essentials, and Sales Advanced. Sales Free is included in all plans at no additional cost.

Sales Essentials and Sales Advanced are add-ons that increase your monthly bill. Each package includes one seat, and you must purchase additional seats as you need them.

The table below shows Brevo pricing for sales packages as of August 2026:

What changes between plans

Plans below Enterprise restrict features, pushing you towards a more expensive plan regardless of your monthly email volume requirements.

Pricing table comparing Free, Starter, Standard, Professional, and Enterprise plans with key features listed.
Brevo plans have feature restrictions up to Enterprise. Image via Brevo.

The Free plan doesn’t include content feeds or any multichannel attribution. The Starter plan adds the feed and one conversion metric for attribution, and requires an add-on to remove Brevo branding at an additional $12/month. Add that, and your cost is at least $21/month.

Brevo’s Standard plan provides unlimited multichannel marketing automation and removes the branding. It starts at $18/month, so it works out to cost less than the Starter plan with the brand removal add-on for 5,000 contacts.

The Standard plan also brings A/B testing, AI send time optimization, click heatmaps, and a three-user limit to your account, versus the single-user limit on Free and Starter.

Professional plans cost much more, at a minimum of $499/month, but do more. You get email frequency management, reusable content sections, and phone support. Plans below Professional only receive email support.

How do Brevo’s ecommerce features differ by plan?

The Free and Starter plans have an important limitation: they place a 2,000 contact cap on multichannel automations, so you’ll need the Standard plan’s unlimited quota if your automated messages need to reach more than 2,000 contacts.

And even when you pick the Standard plan, you don’t receive the complete ecommerce feature set available in the Professional plan. That could make you consider Brevo alternatives due to the Professional plan’s $499/month entry point.

The first is the analytics studio with pre-built reports, a dashboard builder, and an AI data analyst as part of Aura AI. Below Professional, you can only view statistics.

Brevo statistics dashboard shows zero activity for sent emails, recipients, opens, bounces, replies, and unsubscribes.
Brevo’s Statistics screen (Free, Starter, Standard) limits reporting depth. Image via Brevo.

Professional plans also provide pop-ups, back-in-stock alerts, dynamic coupons, AI product recommendations, AI segmentation, contact scoring, multi-branch testing in automations, and randomized list splits for testing, all of which your store could need.

The four limits that decide your Brevo plan

Brevo pricing has send limits with contact caps per send tier and plan type, plus there are limitations to automations and ecommerce feature access.

Send limits

Brevo’s plans require users to select a monthly email volume, capped up to a maximum send limit per plan. The Free plan caps email sends at 300/day, around 9,000/month.

Brevo planSend limits
Free300 emails/day
Starter5,000 to 100,000
Standard5,000 to 500,000
Professional150,000 to 10,000,000
EnterpriseCustom

You can select up to 100,000 emails on the Starter plan, up to 500,000 emails on the Standard plan, and up to 10,000,000 emails on the Professional plan.

Exceeding the available monthly email volume of Brevo’s plans requires moving to the next tier, which will also increase your monthly costs.

Contact caps

The Free Brevo plan stores up to 100,000 contacts. Once your list outgrows that contact cap, you’ll need a paid plan.

Brevo planContacts you can store
Free100,000
Starter500, 1,500, 2,500, or 500,000
Standard500, 1,500, 2,500, or 500,000
Professional2,000,000 flat across all tiers
EnterpriseUnlimited

The Starter plan stores up to 500,000 contacts at the 20,000 emails/month threshold, but no more than that. The Standard plan lets you store up to 500,000 contacts. The Professional plan stores up to 2,000,000 contacts, and the Enterprise plan stores unlimited contacts.

Automation caps

You can only send automations to 2,000 contacts on the Free and Starter plans. Only contacts who already entered your automations finish their steps; anyone new doesn’t enter.

Lifting that automation cap to an unlimited (unrestricted) quota requires any plan above Starter, such as Standard or Professional.

The automation cap is important if you’re an ecommerce store that sends large volumes of abandoned carts, welcome emails, follow-ups, and other workflows.

The $499/month ecommerce wall

Only the Professional plan has ecommerce features like AI segmentation, back-in-stock alerts, or dynamic coupons that many stores need to maximize revenue and retention, and it costs at least $499/month.

Professional plan features include contact scoring, custom and pre-built reporting dashboards, pop-ups, multi-branch testing in automations, AI product recommendations, AI segmentation, dynamic coupons, randomized list splits for testing, and back-in-stock alerts.

An example of the extra cost: With 100,000 sends and up to 500,000 contacts, Brevo’s Standard plan costs $139/month, but if you need ecommerce features, you’re forced to pay an extra $360/month for the Professional plan, a 259% increase.

Custom-priced enterprise plans are also the only plans with a loyalty program add-on linked to customer data, sub-account management, asset sharing, data warehouse and SFTP connections, and a customer success manager.

How other ecommerce email tools price the same features

Other ecommerce email marketing tools undercut Brevo’s Professional plan. $499/month is more expensive than both Omnisend and Klaviyo for similar ecommerce features.

Omnisend’s Pro plan is $59/month for unlimited email sends and 2,500 contacts. It only gets close to Brevo’s Professional plan at 30,000 contacts, at $497/month. The Standard Omnisend plan at $500/month supports 60,000 contacts.

Klaviyo is more expensive than Omnisend at $60/month for 2,500 contacts and $500/month for 30,000 contacts.

The crux here is that Omnisend and Klaviyo cost less than Brevo Professional for fewer than 30,000 contacts and have more native ecommerce features.

Are there any extra costs on top of Brevo’s plan?

Yes, some add-ons can increase your total Brevo cost. Also, additional channels, such as SMS, have separate costs to consider.

Add-ons

Sales packages are Brevo’s costliest add-on. Paid packages include Sales Essentials, which costs $31/month per seat, and Sales Advanced, at $65/month per seat. The costs are on top of any email plan you purchase.

Other add-ons:

  • Brevo branding removal at $12/month on the Starter plan (Standard plans and above remove branding as standard)
  • Extra marketing seats, priced at $12/month on Standard plans; Standard plans also cap seats to three, with 10 included in Professional
  • Dedicated IP, $251/year per dedicated IP in Professional plans, included in Enterprise
  • SAML SSO, $324/month on the Professional plan, included in Enterprise
  • Extra push subscribers as an add-on in Professional and Enterprise plans, with prices dependent on the number of subscribers selected

These add-ons could push you towards other cheap email marketing services, especially those that include those features in standard plans.

SMS and WhatsApp

SMS is available as a channel in all Brevo plans; WhatsApp is exclusive to Professional and Enterprise plans.

You don’t need a paid Brevo email plan to buy SMS credits, but if you have one, SMS credits are purchased on top. They never expire, but are also non-refundable.

Brevo SMS pricing starts at $1.09 for 100 message credits. Check out the costs as of August 2026 below. We set the destination as the United States:

Number of messagesBundle cost
100$1.09
200$2.18
500$5.45
1,000$10.90
2,000$21.80
10,000$109
100,000$1,090

Brevo lets you send SMS to 180+ countries and only supports MMS in the United States. MMS uses the equivalent of 2.1 SMS credits.

WhatsApp credits are priced separately from SMS, sold in batches of 100. Prices depend on the number of messages, destination country, and the type of message.

Sending 100 WhatsApp messages to U.S. and Canadian customers costs $3.27 for marketing messages, and $1.09 for utility messages.

Billing terms

The most expensive way to pay for Brevo is monthly, but not everyone wants to commit to a yearly plan.

A yearly plan saves you 10%, so that $9/month Starter plan works out at $8.08/month, and the $499/month Professional plan comes in at $449.08/month.

You can’t pause a yearly Brevo plan if you want to use it later; only monthly plans let you pause billing up to a maximum of three months.

Brevo’s account usage screen upsells your plan and offers annual billing. Image via Brevo.

Something to consider is Brevo’s automatic upgrade path for contact limits in plans. If you reach or exceed your limit, you will automatically move to the next tier, and your subscription cost will increase to match.

Prepaid credits never expire but are non-refundable. Take care when buying these to ensure that you’ll use them.

Which pricing model costs you less: Brevo, Omnisend, or Klaviyo?

Brevo costs less than Omnisend and Klaviyo at the low end, with entry-level plans that cost $9–$25/month and let you send six to 10 emails per contact each month.

That advantage reduces in two ways as your sending requirements increase.

First, because Brevo charges by monthly email volume, sending more than your quota pushes you into a pricier tier even with the same contact count. Second, Brevo’s low-tier contact caps of 500, 1,500, and 2,500 shrink your sends-per-contact ratio as your list size increases.

The table below shows Brevo’s included contacts and sends per contact in Standard and Starter plans, as of August 2026:

Brevo Starter and Standard tiersContacts includedSends per contact
5,000 sends50010
10,000 sends1,5006.7
15,000 sends2,5006
20,000+ sends500,000

A large list emailed often favors Omnisend and Klaviyo, as both charge a flat rate by list size with sending included. Omnisend’s Pro plan has unlimited sends; the Standard plan caps emails at 12x your contact count. Klaviyo caps emails at 10x your contact count.

So, is Brevo worth it?

Brevo is the cheaper choice compared to a contact-based tool if you have a large contact list that you email infrequently, or if you have a smaller list and only need core email features rather than ecommerce capabilities.

The send-to-contact ratio matters because sends are what you pay for. As for ecommerce, Brevo’s $499/month Professional plan is the only one with dynamic coupons, AI product recommendations, contact scoring, pop-ups, and back-in-stock alerts.

Brevo is more expensive if you email your customers frequently because your large list only stays cheap if your monthly sends stay within your plan’s quota. You’ll also find Brevo is more expensive if you need ecommerce features.

Our advice: calculate your monthly sends. Multiply your contact count by how many emails you send per contact each month. If you send only a few emails per contact, Brevo pricing will come out cheap; if you send a lot, contact-based pricing might work better.

FAQs

Is Brevo a good tool for ecommerce?
Yes, Brevo is good for basic ecommerce such as abandoned cart recovery and email campaigns, but it tiers many of its best features to expensive plans. The Professional plan starts at $499/month, and it’s the only one with pop-ups, dynamic coupons, contact scoring, and AI product recommendations.
Does Brevo really offer unlimited contacts?
Yes, Brevo offers unlimited contacts, but only on its custom-priced Enterprise plan. You’ll need to contact sales for a quote. Below that, the Professional plan stores up to 2,000,000 contacts.
Is Brevo pricing cheaper than Omnisend or Klaviyo?
Yes, on entry price, it starts at $9/month versus Omnisend’s $16/month and Klaviyo’s $20/month. Omnisend and Klaviyo bill for contacts, which can be cheaper when you send many emails per contact.
Does Brevo’s free plan work for a real business?
Yes, Brevo’s free plan works for a small business with basic automation and campaign requirements, and large lists that need to live somewhere for free. You can store 100,000 contacts and send automated messages to up to 2,000 contacts. It’s less suited to ecommerce stores due to basic analytics and no pop-ups or contact scoring.
Has Sendinblue pricing changed since the rename?
Yes, the entry price was lowered after the rebrand to $9/month from $25/month, although the included email volume shrank from 20,000 emails to 5,000. Paid plans also had unlimited contacts when Brevo was Sendinblue in 2023. Plans below Enterprise now have contact limits tied to monthly email volume.
